Footage has emerged from Belfast on Friday which shows middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders throwing a piece of chicken at heavyweight ruler Deontay Wilder before running away.
The clip, clarified to be Saunders by several hundred people since, has gone viral on social media and shows a member of Wilder’s entourage giving chase after the incident.
Minutes earlier, Wilder was photographed at the Nandos near Dublin Road before being seen in videos standing at the top of stairs watching as Saunders makes a dash for it.
Wilder hasn’t exactly been welcomed into the city since arrival, having made his presence felt to a largely Partizan Tyson Fury crowd.
Tyson’s father John has already been embroiled in an argument with Wilder at the weigh-in, which the American attended due to ongoing negotiations for a potential Las Vegas clash in November.

All in all, the nature of the spotlight on Wilder’s visit to Northern Ireland will only increase clamour to see the pair of heavyweights take to the ring later in the year, should Fury dispatch of forthcoming opponent Francesco Pianeta as expected on Saturday night at Windsor Park.
