Saturday night at Windsor Park in Belfast, Northern Ireland, World Boxing Council flyweight champion, Cristofer “Látigo” Rosales, will fight local fighter, Paddy Barnes.
Rosales will make the first defense of his title, after being crowned last April 15 by knocking out in the ninth round the former champion Daigo Higa, at the Yokohama Arena in Japan.
Barnes is a contender of just 5 fights in professional boxing, with only one knockout, but with a solid career in amateur boxing, winning two Olympic bronze medals, at the 2008 Beijing Games and London 2012.
In his most recent bout last November, Barnes defeated Nicaraguan Eliecer Quezada via a six round knockout.
This Wednesday both fighters held a training open to the media, where they proved that they are in top condition for a great and memorable fight.
