Angel Garcia and Kenny Porter, who both also serve as their sonsā€™ trainers, are asked by Gray how they react when they watch their sons take punishment in the ring.

ā€œAs a dad, I have to separate the boxing,ā€ Angel Garcia said. ā€œSo when Dannyā€™s in there Iā€™ve got to look at him as a coach. I canā€™t look at it as a dad.ā€

Said Kenny Porter: ā€œAs a former boxer, I felt what itā€™s like to be in that ring… So I feel differently when heā€™s in the ring. I have a more competitive spirit towards winning than maybe someone whoā€™s kid is in there and theyā€™re looking at whether the kid is getting injured. Iā€™m looking at it like, letā€™s win.ā€

Gray gets Porter and Garcia to open up about challenges, regrets and the aspirations theyā€™ve carried for their progeny both in the ring and outside of it. ā€œI do [have regrets],ā€ Angel Garcia said. ā€œI said my faults. Iā€™m not perfect.ā€

Angel called himself the ā€œmost underrated trainerā€ in boxing today, and Danny the ā€œmost underrated fighter.ā€

At the end of the interview, Kenny unveils a Garcia ā€œDSGā€ T-shirt that reads: ā€œShowtime Destroys Garciaā€ and both fathers shared a big laugh.
