Ringstar Boxing, Asia’s fastest growing sports media property, headed by its Founder & CEO Scott Farrell, just held a press launch today at Spartans Boxing Club, which saw Singapore’s top undefeated boxer Muhamad “The Chosen Wan” Ridhwan, face off with his top-notch opponent, Paulus “The Rock” Ambunda.
38-year old Paulus “The Rock” Ambunda of Namibia, former WBO World Champion and former 2x IBO World Champion traded barbs with 30-year old current IBO Intercontinental Featherweight Champion Muhamad “The Chosen Wan” Ridhwan, who has a winning streak of 11-0.
Both boxers will be squaring off inside the ring, come September 29, 2018, at the Marina Bay Sands. At stake for both boxers will be the IBO World Super Bantamweight title.
When asked if he was ready for his upcoming world title fight, Ridhwan says, “I was born ready, I was meant to do this, I am meant to win the world title. Ambunda is the rock, but he is going rock bottom on September 29.”
Ridhwan even called Ambunda his stepping stone, but Ambunda was quick to respond that he has stopped and destroyed undefeated fighters before, and Ridhwan may be the next one.
Ringstar Founder & CEO Scott Farrell says, “This show is all about bringing class to Singapore. Paulus Ambunda is a world-class fighter, and he has proven himself time and again, inside the ring. Muhamad Ridhwan on the other hand, is ready for the test. And with Ringstar, we don’t make things easy. You need to prove to the world that you are the best, that you are number one, and that you are worthy.”
Malaysia’s WBC Asia Continental Light Heavyweight Champion Mirage Khan, and IBO Oceania Welterweight Champion Keng Fai, and French undefeated fighter Abdelelah Karroum, were also at the press launch to talk about their crucial bouts.
