After a shoving altercation at the weigh in, that Bellows also got the best of, there was no doubt in his mind he’d come away with the win over Harris.
“First I need to give praise and thank God for allowing me a victory, and a belt. I knew I’d win, it was just a matter of how,” Bellows said. “I also want to thank the beautiful city of Memphis, for their hospitality, and for allowing me the opportunity to fight the biggest fight of my career. I made a lot of new fans out there, and I can’t wait to come back and fight again.”
As always, Bellows credits his family and large fan base as a part of his success. “My sons are my biggest motivation, and they’re proud of me so I couldn’t be happier.
My family who is always there for me, are the best. To my boxing family following this and going on the ride with me, this is only the beginning.
It doesn’t get any easier from here on out so, if you’re with me, I’m gonna need you to strap on your seat belt and prepare for this journey. It will be rocky, but it’s gonna smooth out when we get to the top. Much love to everyone, and thanks for supporting Team KO Bellows.”
