The World Boxing Super Series went through final rehearsals on Saturday giving those few inside the Olimpiyskiy in Moscow, Russia a first look at the coveted Ali Trophy.
Tonight’s winner of the cruiserweight finale between Aleksandr Usyk and Murat Gassiev will forever be labeled the first recipient of the statue, named after ‘The Greatest’ ring personality of all-time in Muhammad Ali.
Usyk and Gassiev will also battle it out for four versions of the 200 pound crown, plus The Ring Magazine title in what is expected to be an epic contest between the two best cruiserweights around.

Ukrainian Usyk brings the WBC and WBO straps into the bargain, whilst Gassiev holds the IBF and WBA versions after both defeated champions in the semi-finals.
Gassiev holds home advantage for the clash at the Olimpiyskiy in Moscow, although Usyk is still regarded as the slight favourite after picking up two Olympic Gold medals in the amateur ranks and looking slick since moving into the paid code.
His Russian opponent, nicknamed ‘Iron’, is trained by Gennady Golovkin’s coach Abel Sanchez and had solid power to fall back on if Usyk gains the upper hand in tactics.
The fight should be a barnstormer and potentially a Fight of the Year contender, with the winner tipped to then move up to for a run in the heavyweight division.
