WBA regional title holder Fedor Chudinov stole a hometown decision from Nadjib Mohammedi in a fight that for all the world was a straightforward victory for the away contender.
Mohammedi seemed to be racking up the rounds against tired-looking Chudinov and was rightly handed the contest 118-111 by one judge.
The other two came back with strange cards of 116-112 and 115-113 to Chudinov to the disgust of Mohammedi, who subsequently refused to leave the ring for a few minutes after the verdict.
An immediate rematch should be ordered by World Boxing Association as yet another scoring of a high-profile encounter takes the headlines.
WBSS semi-finalist Mairis Briedis scored a routine win over Brandon Deslaurier to get his career back on track following his loss to Aleksandr Usyk.
The First Lady of Boxing and the current pound for pound number one, Cecilia Braekhus dominated Inna Sagaydakovskaya in what was effectively a mismatch.
In the super featherweight division, former world title holder Denis Shafikov out-pointed Jhon Gemino to record a 40th pro triumph.
Braekhus took every round of ten to retain her WBC, IBF, WBO, WBA and WBO welterweight titles and remain undefeated into the bargain.
Sergey Vorobiev scored a career-best victory when claiming the spoils on points against 34-0 Konstantin Ponomarev.
After ten close rounds, Vorobiev took a split decision as judges carded 97-94 and 96-94 in his favor, with a third seeing it 94-96 the other way,
Ponomarev was only said to be treading water for a world title shot later in the year but now goes back to the drawing board as Vorobiev improves to 7-0.
At super middleweight, Vladimir Shishkin knocked out late replacement Gasan Gasanov in five, whilst Magomed Madiev was forced to settle for a split draw against Guido Pitto at middleweight in another ten rounder.
Kicking off the show, super welterweight Serhii Bohachuk stopped Nikolozi Gviniashvili to improve his record to 10-0.
