Gennady Golovkin was in Las Vegas this week and Smitty sat down with him and his trainer Abel Sanchez to discuss the rematch with Canelo Alvarez on Sept 15 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and available on HBO PPV.

GGG was his typical humble self and wasn’t about to reveal any of his ‘Secrets’ for his next ‘Big Drama Show’

The grand cruiserweight final of the World Boxing Super Series Tournament, involving the unification match between Aleksandr Usyk and Murat Gassiev, is this Saturday, July 21 at the Olimpiysky Sports Complex, Moscow, Russia.

During this fight, we will see the two best of the division within the ring, as each boxer has two titles and undefeated records.

The winner will lift the Muhammad Ali Trophy, becoming the undisputed champion of the unified cruiserweight. The first time in history this feat will be achieved.

Oswaldo Küchle, promoter of the World Boxing Council youth super featherweight champion, Eduardo Hernández, seeks a fight for ‘Rocky’ against former champion Francisco ‘Bandido’ Vargas, as a key step on the way to challenging WBC super featherweight champion Miguel “Alacran” Berchelt.

“Rocky is young and we’re not going to rush him. He showed that he’s on a different level because he did something big against a boxer who was hard to knock out, by stopping him in the very first round.”

“We will look for a rival who exploits Rocky’s skills, and I am going to ask the WBC to approve an eliminatory fight against Francisco” Bandido “Vargas, which would be very interesting.

Miguel “Mickey” Román and Miguel Berchelt are facing each other next, so we can have an eliminatory match in the meantime.”

The career of the Mexican prospect “Rocky” Hernandez continues its KO littered march and it’s gathering momentum!
