Tommy Coyle drops Commonwealth title ahead of US debut, Joe Cordina v Sean Dodd for vacant strap
Tommy Coyle has relinquished his Commonwealth lightweight title in order to concentrate on fulfilling his dream of fighting in the United States.
According to the Hull man, he’s heading across the Atlantic in September to achieve his ambition of competing in the USA.
More details will be released soon, although Coyle’s decision means Olympic star Joe Cordina has been handed his opportunity to fight for the intergovernmental belt.

The Welshman’s opponent will be former champion Sean Dodd as Cordina secures a homecoming bout on August 4.
Cardiff’s Ice Arena will set the stage for Matchroom’s latest NXTGEN offering, with Cordina starting an overwhelming favorite to claim the British Empire title.
