Nathan Dale returned to the squared circle with a dominating slick performance against season professional Innocent Anyanwu from the Netherlands.
Dale convincingly won the 6 round Super Lightweight contest 60 points to 55 and showed a wide range of his skills causing Innocent numerous problems throughout the fight, in complete control.
Nathan said after the fight: “I felt fantastic going into the fight, my training camp as been ideal, lots of rounds with high quality sparring partners, I was absolutely determined to get the win tonight, enjoy the fight and to put on a show for the Norwich fans.
“We worked on a number of technical changes to my style during sparring, I felt we demonstrated these well during the fight, thanks to Graham and Jon for working with me.”
The show on May 25th at the Holiday Inn Norwich promoted by Shamrock Boxing Promotions was Nathans first show for 10 months following a recent run of injuries,.
Dale added: “We are not talking about the past, that’s behind me, can’t do anything about it, tonight was about me getting back in the ring, putting on a show, getting myself back in the mix for regional and national titles.
“I believe I’m good enough to beat any of the current belt holders.”
What’s next for Nathan?
“I’ll take a week off to recover from the fight, then back in the gym, I’m always fit and ready, ready to take any opportunity that is offered to me.
“I’ll sit down with my team and discuss our path and next fights, hopefully get something for mid year, keep busy and work hard.”
