Wladimir Klitschko’s USB prediction revealed, Anthony Joshua labels ex-foe ‘Mystic Meg’

The current heavyweight king unified the top division titles with a late stoppage win over the Ukrainian in April 2017 and revisited the scene of the contest twelve months on for a BBC documentary.

During the fight build-up, Klitschko produced a USB stick with his prediction for the PPV bout and decided to auction off the contents to the highest bidder.

Klitschko raised £16,000 for his charity foundation and had wanted the USB to remain confidential.

However, during the BBC filming, Joshua outlined what Klitschko had predicted, some of which came true on the night.

“He said I will gas out, I will try to knock him out and as I come rushing in he will catch me with a right hand and knock me clean out,” the Briton told the BBC documentary team on Joshua v Klitschko: Return to Wembley.

“He sounded like Mystic Meg (a former UK lottery predictor from the 1990’s) because some of those predictions came true,” he added.

Joshua is currently in talks to extend his Matchroom contract with Eddie Hearn for another three years, whilst remain in conversations to fight Deontay Wilder for the undisputed title.

Having stopped every fighter he’s ever faced, Joshua is undoubtedly the top 200 pound plus operator on the planet, although Wilder is hoping to prove his claim to the crown when the pair collide in the summer.

Another trip to Wembley Stadium will be on the cards provided promoter Hearn can seal a date that doesn’t collide with any other sporting events in the coming months.

With England’s football team on duty in Russia for the World Cup, there’s one less headache for the Matchroom boss to deal with.
