“The first thing I want to do, is to thank the team of” GGG “and the WBC for giving me the opportunity and to realize this dream of fighting for the most important green and gold title.
“Since I was a child I dreamed of wearing the belt won by great legend like Julio César Chávez, who’s one of my greatest idols.
“I have been a boxer for 17 years and although I have not had any activity in the ring for two years, I have never stopped training. I am aware that I am not going to be the favortie I but believe I will spring a surprise, when fighting in the purest Mexican style. I’m going to defeat Gennady Golovkin with Mexican style! Viva Mexico!”
