MTK Global is thrilled to confirm the signing of hard-hitting Cuban featherweight Neslan Machado.
Although still only 21, ‘Pitbull’ Machado has racked up eight stoppages on his way to 12-0 and is excelling under the tutelage of one of the world’s top trainers; Jorge Rubio.
Machado, who is based in Miami, said: “With MTK Global, I’ll win a world title and I like to fight aggressively so people will want to come and watch me.
“I’ve watched a lot of great fighters with different styles such as Guillermo Rigondeaux, Yuriorkis Gamboa, Floyd Mayweather and Muhammad Ali but naturally, I’m aggressive.
“I would like to fight for a world title within the next two years. I’m still young but it doesn’t matter where it is – Miami, the UK or anywhere else. I’ll be comfortable fighting anywhere.
“The best fighters in my division are fighters like Carl Frampton. If I ever get to fight him one day it’ll be a great fight.
“My message to fans is simple – watch out for me because I’m going to be a world champion and I’m going to be involved in some great fights.”
MTK Global International Operations Director Paul Gibson added: “Everyone is going to love watching Neslan fight. From his technical ability you can see he is Cuban schooled but it’s his natural aggression and heavy hands that will make him a star.
“He’s a feared man in Florida and that has made fights hard to come by the past couple of years. MTK is now going to keep him active and help him fulfil his potential.
“He’s only 21 but wants to move quickly. He already has an old Frampton foe on his record in Prosper Ankrah so if Neslan can emulate some more of the Jackal’s achievements then we’ll all be very happy!”
