Lucas Browne is getting back to normal ten days on from his crushing loss to Dillian Whyte at the O2 Arena in London.
The 38 year-old suffered bad facial damage in the brutal knockout loss to Whyte as Browne lost his unbeaten record and the chance to win the WBC Silver heavyweight title.
Speaking out on the healing process, Browne wanted to give his fans an inside look at what fighters go through in the days after a hurtful reverse.
“Not many truly understand what goes on behind the scenes in boxing,” said Browne.
“Ten days after my fight, nine stitches and a broken nose, that is a bad day at work for me. One mentally off day can result in a lot of pain and suffering.
“Full respect to anyone who gets into a ring or cage,” he added.
‘Big Daddy’ has vowed to return to action in the near future after citing hampered preparations as a reason for what was seen as an out-of-character performance.
Credit to Dillian Whyte though, as the ‘Bodysnatcher’ fully lived up to his name with attacks downstairs just a vicious as those to Browne’s head.
Hopefully, Browne will be gracing an arena in the near future as the tough Aussie will no doubt want to get back in the reckoning for a shot at the top stars over the coming months.
