Joseph Parker may be the big underdog for Saturday’s scrap at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium but punters at Betway are piling in on the Kiwi causing a shock at 4/1.

Originally priced at 8/1 when the fight was confirmed, the New Zealand puncher has been well-punted in this week and is now no bigger than 4/1 to end AJ’s 20-fight unbeaten run.

Joshua remains a long odds-on shot at 2/11 to overcome the Kiwi, but the leading online bookmaker is yet to see any confident money for the 28-year-old.

Betway’s Alan Alger gave his thoughts on the changes.

“All the pre-fight interest thus far has been with Joseph Parker at 4/1, with big-hitters seemingly wary of lumping on Joshua at 2/11.

“Parker has also been popular in individual rounds betting, particularly rounds six and seven which can be backed at a juicy 66/1, while Joshua rounds four to six have also been popular at 11/4.”
