Former amateur star Kody Davies has signed an exclusive promotional deal with Hayemaker Ringstar alongside a management deal with Sam Jones and Adam Moralee’s S-Jam Boxing.
The Welshman, 23, already has two pro wins under his belt and sparred world-class operators in George Groves and Callum Smith recently.
Davies has now been added to the forthcoming undercard of the massive heavyweight rematch between David Haye and Tony Bellew taking place at The O2 on May 5th.
Speaking about the link-up, new co-manager Sam Jones spoke to World Boxing News regarding the top prospect, by saying: “I’m delighted to announce the signing of Kody Davies. He was a brilliant amateur, a former team GB member and I have followed his career carefully for a while now.
“In my opinion, he never got a fair crack at GB but Kody is a star and a guaranteed future world champion. As David Haye announced on Saturday, Kody will make his TV debut on Sky Sports Box office on the Haye v Bellew 2 undercard in May.
“Kody has gone from small hall to box office and I’m positive he will be successful moving forward. It’s exciting times for him and he can look forward to a great TV debut on May 5th.”
Moralle added: “Kody Davies has a bright future in the professional ranks and I’m delighted he’s on board.”
Following the signing of Ruqsana Begum, Davies adds to an already swelling stable at S-Jam following the formation of the company between Jones and Morallee earlier this year.
