Before and After: Solid Tyson Fury’s three-month body transformation

Training alongside Ben Davison, Fury is beginning to look more and more like the fighter of old as the 27 year-old continues to push hard in the gym.

Looking back to late November, Fury posted a picture with Ricky Hatton in his Hyde gym, and despite having already lost a considerable amount was still some way off full fitness.

Fast forward less than three months and Fury is almost ready to begin a full on camp and could easily be back in action by late mid-May or early June.

Fury has set his sights on regaining the clutch of world heavyweight titles he never lost in the ring and wants three warm-up contests in 2018 before a championship run in 2019.

A massive clash with fellow-Brit Anthony Joshua hangs in the balance, an encounter which would be worth £10 million or more to Fury – especially if a rematch was forthcoming after any initial fight.

AJ

Joshua is bidding to clean up all the titles beforehand beginning with Joseph Parker on March 31 and potentially Deontay Wilder at the end of 2018 in an undisputed Las Vegas showdown.

The ‘AJ’ plan gives Fury breathing space to re-settle into the division on the back of his two and a half year absence and possibly take on the likes of Shannon Briggs, Agit Kabayel and Bryant Jennings on his way to a redemption fight with the 2012 Olympic champion – or even Wilder for the matter.

Wilder could be boasting a 41-0 record by the time he shares the ring with Joshua, and dependent on his performances up to that point, could begin a pre-fight favourite to beat dethrone Joshua.
