Conor McGregor gives typical response to Floyd Mayweather octagon clip as MMA return looms
Conor McGregor doesn’t seem too impressed with the shocking news that Floyd Mayweather is teasing fans with a video of himself in an octagon.
Mayweather, 40, posted what seems to be a clear indication he’s planning a move over to MMA in a bid to secure yet another huge payday against the Irishman.
The pair went toe-to-toe in August with Mayweather a clear winner in a boxing ring, but with many fans believing things would be very different if the American crossed over to McGregor’s code.
It seems that scenario could well become a reality in 2018 despite several high-profile sceptics seeing the rematch purely as a money-making scheme.
Upon noticing the clip Mayweather posted, McGregor told Mayweather; ‘to keep up the good work, son’ before a customary, ‘f*** the Mayweathers’ response followed soon after.
Many found it strange Mayweather was still mentioning McGregor five months after they met when he posted ‘Mayweather crushes McGregor’ recently, although the penny has finally dropped as the wheels begin turning on a 2018 return between the pair.
