Mick Conlan to train with Adam Booth as progress continues

The 26 year-old is currently in training for his sixth professional outing which will mark one year in the paid ranks on March 17.

Conlan will headline at the world famous Madison Square Garden for the second successive contest and will now have Booth alongside him in New York.

“It’s a pleasure to announce that I will now be trained by @boxingbooth looking forward to a great journey together towards world titles!” said the top prospect.

Booth has enjoyed a mass of success in the sport in helping Haye, Groves and more recently Ryan Burnett to world championships and it’s thought Conlan could be in the mix at the top level by the end of 2018.

Working with someone in the ilk of Booth can only add to Conlan’s already considerable assets as the Belfast man hurtles towards a nailed on reign at the summit in years to come.

The ex-amateur star has already put together a run of five victories in his first twelve months, although his one hundred percent of stoppages came to an end in his latest bout.

Luis Molina took Conlan the full six rounds at MSG in December in losing every round to the Bob Arum-promoted star.
