Crowd violence marred a top event at Palais des Sports Marcel Cerdan in Hauts-de-Seine, France on Saturday night as one of the contests was forced to be abandoned.
As the super-lightweight title contest between Marvin Petit and Samir Kasmi reached the seventh round, there was no way the match could continue due to an eruption of shocking trouble involving supporters and some involved in the fight at ringside.
Petit, Kasmi and members of their respective teams fled the ring in fear as flying chairs and debris added to the punches and kicks being thrown.
Several people were hurt during the brawl, which is now being investigated by the French authorities.
On top of the bill, super lightweight Franck Petitjean defeated Andrea Scarpa in an EU (European Union) super-lightweight title clash, whilst Mohamed Mimoune scored a unanimous win over Emiliano Rodriguez in the same division.
At super featherweight, Maiva Hamadouche retained the female IBF title with a win over Myriam Dellal.
In two French title bouts, cruiserweight Herve Lofidi shocked Siril Makiadi with a first round knockout, whilst undefeated Kevin Lele Sadjo took the super-middleweight strap from Shamil Ismailov in four.
Victories for Gustave Tamba, Rachid Achoui and Maxime Devignaud rounded off the card which was tainted by the fighting that took place outside the ring.
