Former Lonsdale Belt holder Anthony Small is in trouble again having been charged with ‘encouraging acts of terrorism’ by UK police.

Met Police’s Counter Terrorism Command have been looking into Small for some time now and decided to push for action following a video posted in September 2016.

Small is now set to appear in court next Wednesday.

The 36 year-old, now known as Abdul Haqq, was acquitted in 2015 of trying to join the fighting in Syria and recently starred in a BBC reality show called, ‘Muslims like US’.

Just last year, Small was also in trouble with the law for sub-letting his flat whilst claiming benefits.

Winning the British and Commonwealth light-middleweight titles in 2009, Small retired a year later at the age of 28.
