Amir Khan join forces with Eddie Hearn despite saying he never would

Khan is all set to reignite his career on the back of a successful stint on ITV show ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!’ before Christmas and has been linked to a first UK fight since April 2014 this spring.

WBN has now learned the 31-year-old is on the verge of revealing an agreement with Eddie Hearn – a man Khan previously stated he’d never work with.

Hearn represents Kell Brook, one of Khan’s fiercest and longest rivals, although a clash between the pair was ruled out recently when ‘The Special One’ moved up to 154 pounds.

Once Khan and Hearn make their intentions public, the end game could be a battle with Brook at a catchweight or even with the former moving up the necessary seven pounds himself to make it a super-welterweight bout.

It won’t be the first time Khan had operated above the 147 pound welterweight limit as he last fought when badly knocked out by Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas two years ago, taking that offering at a career-highest 155lbs.

Needing a win before anything with Brook can come to fruition in the months ahead, Khan aims to repair his reputation at home before an assault on the world stage again.

Brook himself is back in action on March 3, whilst former super-lightweight king Khan is eyeing a return one month later in the north of England to give his own fans a homecoming event.

It seems personal problems are firmly behind Khan, and his career is finally the number one priority.
