The undefeated 23 year-old produced a crushing left hand with one minute left of the fifth round, and as Juarez attempted to recover, referee Tony Weeks stepped in to take away any second chances.
Calls of an early stoppage followed from the camp of Juarez and his supporters, although Dogboe’s sweet shot was deserved of victory and sets up a potential meeting with Jessie Magdaleno.
After being crowned the interim champion, Dogboe could be elevated to full status should Magdaleno decide against making a deal for a future meeting in 2018.
With the win, ‘Brave Son’ moves his record to 18-0 with a twelfth stoppage to his credit and would be a handful for any of the champions at the 122 pound limit.

One of the first to congratulate Dogboe was former sparring partner Carl Frampton, who has since moved up to featherweight.
