Britain’s Prince Patel ended 2017 in great fashion on Saturday (December 30), winning the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Inter-Continental Bantamweight title in Kistarcsa, a suburb to the Hungarian capital of Budapest.
Patel, a 24-year-old southpaw, put on a clinical performance against local man Zsolt Sarkozi, and after a strong first round, it was clear that it would only be a matter of time before the man from London would end the fight.
And it didn’t take long, as the undefeated Patel showed no mercy in the second round, overwhelmed Sarkozi and found the finishing punches, winning his careers first professional championship by impressive stoppage.
The new UBO Inter-Continental Bantamweight Champion improved his professional record to 6-0-1 (3). Zsolt Sarkozi, still only eighteen years old, drops to 6-3-1 (3).
Patel vs. Sarkozi headlined a show promoted by Toto Box-Promotion.
