Sauerland win Wallin v Granat purse bid with 80.3k Euro bid

Tabling a bid of €80,305.00, the European powerhouse promoter saw off competition from EC Boxpromotion, who bid €75,000.00, and will announce a date and venue for the hotly anticipated heavyweight showdown at the beginning of next year.

Wallin and Granat have previously exchanged words in the press and both have expressed a desire to meet in the ring to determine who is Sweden’s number one heavyweight.

“I’m very happy Team Sauerland won the purse bids and now we can choose the location of the fight, which will hopefully be my hometown of Sundsvall,” said Wallin.

“It’s great the fight is finally happening. I want to show everyone that Adrian can talk as much as he wants but he already knows what is going to happen once we are alone in the ring. Finally, I will get to show that I’m Sweden’s best heavyweight.”

Said promoter Nisse Sauerland: “We’re delighted to have won the purse bids for this all-Swedish European Union contest.

“Both men are eager to prove they’re number one and the fans are going to be in for a real treat. We’re currently looking at different options for the fight and will make an announcement on the date and venue in the New Year.”
