Anthony Yarde became the first fighter to stop hardened former world title challenger with a superb performance in London.
Yarde, 26, looked every inch a future champion on Saturday’s evidence as he took apart Sjekloca, something no fighter has been able to do to the Montenegrin.
Down in the second and fourth rounds, Sjekloca was outclassed as Yarde claimed a fourteenth pro win with a thirteenth stoppage in round four.
Earlier, heavyweight prospect Daniel Dubois dropped Dorian Darch four times on his way to yet another destructive win, a fourth in a row at the Copper Box Arena.
The 20 year-old dropped Darch in the first and looked on his way to another quick finish, although his opponent managed to see out the round.
Hell-bent on making sure none of his foes go past the second session, Darch was down three times in the next stanza until Dubois was declared the victor.
The Londoner is now 6-0 and keeps his 100% record going into the New Year.
Prior to Dubois’ triumph, Joe Mullender also put Lee Churcher on the canvas four times before finally gaining the stoppage in the eleventh.
Mullender has now won two in a row since losing out to Lee Markham in May 2016 on will begin 2018 in good shape.
Young super-flyweight Harvey Horn began his pro career impressively with a third round victory over Denis Bartos, whilst Archie Sharp improved to 11-0 with an eight round decision win over Rafael Castillo.
In further action, welterweight Johnny Garton stopped Mihail Orlov in the tenth round of a scheduled twelve, whilst 140-pounder Sanjeev Sahota made it to a perfect by outscoring Ivan Godor over six.
