Twitter has gone into overdrive among Amir Khan’s fans after it was claimed arch-rival Kell Brook was spotted in the audience at a taping of Jeremy Kyle.
Khan has received some criticism from Brook supporters for his decision to take part in this year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’ series on the same channel, rather than accepting an offer to fight the Yorkshireman in early 2018.
As Khan repairs his damaged reputation, Brook has confirmed a move to 154 pounds, leaving the possibility of a future clash in doubt.
That hasn’t stopped Khan’s considerable fanbase giving Brook a tongue-lashing on social media after a barrage of questions as to whether it really was ‘The Special One’ on the JK show.
The timescale of the clip has not been confirmed, although it does look considerably like Brook sitting among other audience members at the ITV studio.
Brook needs a victory after suffering two losses in succession and confirmed to Sky Sports recently that he’s targetting becoming a two-weight world title holder.
“I think I’ll have a meaningful fight, a comeback fight, a warm-up fight, and then we’ll be looking at jumping back on the high horse for a world title (at 154),” He told Sky Sports.
“They are all very good fighters, they’re all world champions, they’re all talented fighters. Once I come back with a win, and my confidence is up there again, I’ll be looking at those names.”
In contrast, Khan says he’ll be remaining at 147 pounds in his own bid to rule in two separate weight divisions.
