Anthony Joshua: I’d KO Deontay Wilder with one shot, gruesomely break down ‘nut-job’ Tyson Fury

The 28 year-old, fresh from pushing his impressive record to 20-0 with 20 KO’s last month, predicted what would happen when he faces both Wilder and Fury in the ring.

“I think I know what I have to do with Wilder,” Joshua told The Independent.

“Wilder? I’d knock Wilder out, it would take a bit of time but I’d definitely knock him out. Parker would take a bit more of a pasting but I’d get to him. Wilder, I’d knock him out with one shot. Not like I’d go in there and bang but when I catch Wilder, I’d definitely knock him out.”

On Fury, Joshua added:

“Fury is tall and I think he’s a bit of a nut-job to be honest with you. I think he’s just got a bit of a screw loose. Any man with a screw loose even if it is just in business, they just have a little something that you can’t put your finger on. So with Fury, it would be tricky to figure him out.

“And Fury would be a real breakdown job, a real gruesome-type fight. Kind of like that Klitschko fight – I’ll go to hellfire and back to get the win,” he promised.

Joshua is not expected to fight again until at least March and has put Joseph Parker on top of his wanted list for the first quarter of 2018.

A win over the New Zealander would bring the WBO belt to Joshua’s possession and leave on one title left out in the open.

Taking the green and gold WBC strap from Wilder would then become the number one priority for ‘AJ’ before a massive meeting with Fury in the summer of 2019.

Inbetween all that, Joshua would have to fit in a mandatory with the IBF against Kubrat Pulev and one against newly-crowned WBA ruler Manuel Charr should he come through Fres Oquendo in 2018.
