David Haye sent out a picture of the injury which halted a rematch with Tony Bellew and will keep him out of action until the spring.
The 37 year-old saw a fourth contest from his last eight bouts called off on Monday following a freak accident which happened last Friday week.
Haye was due to battle Bellew for the second time on December 17 after losing via stoppage in March, in which the ex-two-weight world title holder also was the victim of an achilles injury.
Road to recovery is officially underway. My bandages came off yesterday and physio started today!

It’s not one hundred percent certain whether Bellew v Haye II will go head in the coming year, although Haye is hoping to set a date over the next few days.
In the meantime, Bellew could take a fight early next year in a bid to stay busy.
March or May have already been mentioned as possibilities for a return to The O2 in London.
