Commonwealth Boxing Council secretary Simon Block has confirmed the result of today’s purse bids for the recently announced title defences.
As WBN reported last month, Rocky Fielding has been ordered to defend his super-middleweight title against Indian superstar Vijender Singh.
As things currently stand, Fielding is pencilled in to fight for the WBC Silver title against Erik Skoglund on the Tony Bellew v David Haye 2 undercard and could still decide to drop the strap and move on from facing Singh as a world championship chance would be closer to being a reality.
Singh would then contest the vacant belt against the next challenger accepted by the CBC.
Fielding’s order was part of a trilogy of contests to be arranged, with fellow Brits Ashley Lane and Jay Harris set for mandatories next year.
Reece Bellotti’s stipulated clash with Felix Williams remains up in the air.

No bids were received for this contest. A decision will be made by the CBC either for the contest to be put out again or to be considered null and void.
SUPERBANTAMWEIGHT – ASHLEY LANE (Champion, England) v EMMANUEL QUARTEY (Ghana)
Agreements was reached between the parties for the contest to be promoted by WEST COUNTRY BOXING and to take place in BRISTOL on 16TH MARCH 2018.
