Kash Farooq is raring to go ahead of his rematch with Wishaw’s Scott Allan.
The pair clash on November 23 with the Scottish title and a British title eliminator on the line.
The pair met in November of last year and saw cash come out with a points victory over ten rounds.
Farooq opened up about how preparation had gone ahead of the rematch.
Farooq said, “Training has gone really well with both Craig Dickson and Colin Bellshaw.
I’m always in the gym and have been since my last fight so everything is perfect.
“I’ve been sparring some top quality fighters in Paddy Barnes and Iain Butcher as well as other quality fighters so I couldn’t have had any better preparation for this fight.”
The winner of the contest at the Radisson Blu Hotel will be in line to fight for the British title in 2018.
Farooq weighed in on how he sees the fight with Allan going on November 23 and what he sees for himself in 2018.
Farooq stated, “It’s going to be another tough fight. Scott is a good fighter but I’m fully confident in emerging victorious again.
“I’d love to fight for the British title next. I’m 21 and got a long career ahead of me.
“I love the game so I’m just going to leave who I fight down to my management in Iain Wilson at St Andrew’s Sporting Club and my trainers in Craig and Colin.
As long as I keep working hard in the gym I know that opportunities will come my way.”
