Watch: Tyson Fury displays same old swagger hitting pads in Ricky Hatton’s gym

Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is back inside a ring as the 28 year-old continues his preparation for a comeback.

Fury is without a fight in almost two years due to various disputes and a penchant for a pie and a pint – but hopes to be back in action by April.

Heading to Ricky Hatton’s gym in Hyde, Fury showed he still has the swagger as the lineal title holder tries to shed a considerable amount of excess weight.

“First session back on pads. With Ben Davison in Hatton Gym. Feeling good,” said Fury. “Still got it, the dancing. (The) master also the (clown).”

A fight with Anthony Joshua has been talked about and could be a step closer now that Joseph Parker has rejected an initial approach from Eddie Hearn.

Parker was the preferred option for ‘AJ’ in the spring, although talks have failed to get off the ground and may lead to contact with Fury should he sort of his situation with the British Boxing Board of Control.

If Joshua v Fury can happen in April, the winner would then move on to a massive unification with Deontay Wilder later in the year.

Hearn stated he potentially wants Wilder and Joshua to share a bill and may even be prepared to allow Wilder to fight Parker on the same card in order to put all the belts in one place.
