In the cruiserweight division, Aleksandr Usyk faces Mairis Briedis in the semi-final following respective wins over Marco Huck and Mike Perez.

In the other semi, Murat Gassiev and Yunier Dorticos collide on the back of their victories over Krzysztof Wlodarczyk and Dmitry Kudryashov.

Below, the table shows Dorticos as the leading light so far, whilst a final against Usyk could be on the cards.

Dorticos featured a balanced attack, landing 9.5 jabs per round (double the CompuBox avg,) and 17 power shots per round (52.3%).

Gassiev made his punches count in his KO win over Wlodarczyk, throwing just 35.7 per round. Wlodarczyk landed just 4 punches in 8 minutes of fighting.

Usyk averaged 75.8 punches thrown per round in his KO win over Huck. Usyk landed 6.7 jabs per round and limited Huck to a connect pct of just 12.9%.

Briedis avg’d just 35.8 punches thrown per round, but landed 38.6% of his power shots in his decision win over Perez.

In the super middleweights, Chris Eubank, who fights George Groves in the WBSS Super Middleweight semi-finals, landed 19.7 punches per round in his KO win over Avni Yildirim.

Eubank averaged 67 punches thrown per round and also landed 15.3 power shots per round and 51% of his non-jabs.

Callum Smith, who meets Juergen Braehmer in the other WBSS semi final, landed 7.8 jabs per round in his decision win over Erik Skoglund, who landed 7.9 jabs per round, but only 4.3 power shots per round.

Smith landed 7.3 power shots per round vs. Skoglund. 39-yr old Juergen Braehmer held Rob Brant to an overall conenct pct. of just 22.1% in his decision win.

On the evidence provided, it could be Eubank Jr. versus Smith in the final next May.
