Srisaket Rungvisai, Wanheng Menayothin WBC title defenses set

Juan Francisco Estrada earned his title opportunity, by defeating Carlos Cuadras, who could also participate in this undercard…. “Superfly 2”.

Promoter Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions mentioned that Japan’s Naoya Inoue would not be on the undercard, because he won’t return until mid-2018 in the United States, after having an amazing USA debut vs. Antonio Nieves.

It’s not yet known if Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez will be available to return on this particular undercard. Another famous name being considered is Hawaiian Bryan Viloria, who was also in action on the first “SuperFly” card.

Also, the World Boxing Council’s minimumweight world champion, Thai Wanheng Menayothin, aims to add another defense to his record in Thailand next month, against dangerous Japanese Tatsuya Fukuhara.

Wanheng, whose birth name is Chayaphon Moonsri, comes to this bout, following a successful defense against Australian Omari Kimweri in June of this year.

Menayothin already has a long and triumphant history with the WBC. He won the world youth title in March 2007, defending it successfully eight times.

Then, he won the WBC International title in December 2009, defending on 12 occasions. He marched on to conquer the WBC minimum world crown in November 2014. So far, he’s successfully defended the absolute crown seven times.
