Former welterweight champion Shawn Porter (27-2-1, 17 KOs) will face Adrian Granados (18-5-2, 12 KOs) for the vacant WBC silver welterweight title on the undercard card of the extravaganza starring Deontay Wilder, who’ll defend his crown vs. Bermane Stiverne.
The event, to be broadcast on Showtime, will be held on November 4 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
“To be fighting in an event where Deontay Wilder competing is excellent,” said 29 year-old Porter.
“I’m excited and I’m looking forward to this opportunity. Granados is a dangerous opponent who had a very close fight with Adrien Broner.
“That’s why I’m undergoing a great training camp. I’m sure it will be an exciting match.
Granados declared: “I’m very excited to be fighting against one of the best welterweights in the world, and with our styles, you’ll see fireworks from the first bell. It’ll be a great opportunity.”
