AC Sports Management owner, Adrian Clark is doing his bit to help educate and inform professional fighters as they make their way in what can be a challenging world in the professional ranks.
Clark has partnered with Everlast to launch his new podcast ‘PYAAT’ which is based off his best selling book, ‘Protect Yourself at All Times: A Guide for Professional Boxers’. PYaAT is now available for download and subscription on iTunes.
The former NBA sports agent (Clark) is entering his 8th year of representing professional athletes. His stable currently consist of Frank Galarza, Daquan Arnett (Pauldo), recent world champion challenger Willie Monroe Jr and five other fighters. He started the ‘Protect Yourself at All Times’ campaign in 2016.
“PYaAT podcast is another major step in the direction of educating and informing the fighters on the nature of the boxing business. The NBA, NFL, NHL and MLB all have transitional programs that prepare the athletes for the business of the profession. Boxing has never provided that for the fighters,” said Clark.
“My aim is to bring more organizational structure for the fighters once they decide to turn pro. Although I may not represent every professional fighter in the world, the methods and principles of the Protect Yourself at All Times will equip them as businessmen/women on their difficult journey as a pro fighter”.
There is no doubting that Clark’s message is something that has long needed addressing as a large portion of the fighting fraternity, even those who’ve earned million and been champions in the past, have ended up becoming victims of what can be a cruel world outside the ring.
The thirteen-part info series is available now, and by Clark’s own words, is there to be a guide for fighters of all ages to come to grips with their situations and be able to manage which path their career takes.
Series synopsis: This game-changing guide shines a light on the gray area in the sport by covering topics such as taxes, contracts, retirement, insurance and more.
