The Star Boxing Series will host six top flight events each year showcasing the best talent in professional and amateur boxing at the best venue in town.

Johnny Lewis’s Fight Night at The Star will be the first event in the series to be held at The Star Casino and the fight card boasts a line-up of mouth-watering matches.

The main event features former WBC World Champion Sakio Bika contesting the WBC International Silver Title against Geard Ajetovic.

Bika is on a crusade to reclaim his WBC Super Middleweight World title but must overcome the indestructible Serbian who is the current WBC CISBB Champion, a veteran of 47 professional fights and has never been stopped.

Styles make fights and neither fighter will be taking a backward step. This will be a war and that is what the fans want to see.

The co-main event sees Australia’s #2 and #3 in the Welterweight division clash for the coveted Commonwealth strap. Sydney’s Jack Brubaker laid down the challenge to current Champion Kris George who accepted in August.

This is as good as it gets and the winner will cement their claim as a legitimate contender to Jeff Horn’s World title belt.

The main card also sees Tim Tszyu’s return to the ring contesting his first WBC title fight. Stepping up, Tim is taking on current WBC Asia Continental Middleweight Champion Wade Ryan.

The tough Southpaw from Country NSW won the belt stopping an undefeated Chinese prospect in 2016 and has since defended the title with a TKO victory in Sydney late last year.

Both Tszyu and Ryan were elite amateurs. Tszyu lost only once to Olympian Daniel Lewis in the amateur ranks and Ryan narrowly missed out on selection for the Australian team before ending his amateur career with 44 wins from 48 bouts.

Darragh Foley is looking to continue his dominance of the region unifying the WBA, WBO and WBC regional titles against Japan’s Ryuji Ikeda.

Foley is currently world rated at #13 with the WBA and is looking to climb the world ratings across all the divisions to challenge for a world title in the new year.

And if that wasn’t enough! the event will also feature a cracking Australian bout between undefeated former Beijing Olympian Luke Boyd and current Australian Bantamweight Champion Bob Trigg and hot prospect Ben Savva takes on the tall and rangy Nattawut Arunsuk for the WBC Asia Continental Welterweight Title.

Now that is a Fight Card! ‘Johnny Lewis’s Ultimate Fight Night’ will be held at The Star Casino on Sunday 22nd October 2017 starting at midday. This will be the hottest ticket in town, make sure you are there to witness history in the making.
