The Heavyweight fighter provided voluntary anti-doping samples, and sample “A” tested positive on both substances.

According to the WBA regulations, such substances are prohibited. Therefore, the fighter should be removed from all rankings and receive a suspension of at least six months.

Ortiz has until October 20 to request to examine sample “B,” but he has not yet communicated with the body.

If the date gets reached without an application, the WBA will publish a new resolution regarding the case.

WBN Note: Ortiz has already failed a VADA test with the WBC due to what has been explained as blood pressure medication, with a formal ruling from the World Boxing Council expected to mirror that of the WBA.

‘The Real King Kong’ could now face the end of his career if found guilty of offenses by both organizations.

A fight with Deontay Wilder is already called off. Ortiz now fights to save what’s left of his reputation.
