Antonio DeMarco rolled back the years as the ex-WBC lightweight ruler, 31, took out previously unbeaten Eddie Ramirez in just one round.
The Mexican was stunned early in the session but came back fighting with a huge uppercut and then piled on the pressure to force a stoppage despite protests from Ramirez.
DeMarco has now won two fights in a row since going through the worst phase of his career with three defeats in a year between 2014 and 2015.
In earlier results, former world title challenger Roberto Marroquin got Ruben Tamayo out of there in five rounds as the 28 year-old made it two wins on the spin.
Marroquin has suffered indifferent form since losing for the first time to the late Francisco Leal in 2011 but is one step closer to being where he wants to be with this triumph.
California-based Lithuanian Eimantas Stanionis moved to 4-0 as a pro with a maiden eight round victory, whilst Mexican Misael Rodriguez reached the same total with a six round points victory over Cesar Hernandez and Jose Balderas took a decision over Victor Torres after four rounds.
Also-ran bantamweight and brother of headliner Leo, Antonio Santa Cruz scored a third round knockout win over Jesus Godinez to make it six victories from nine contests as a pro, whilst Jerry Perez recorded a third straight W in the pro ranks with a decision of Juan Sandoval over four rounds.
Fledgling super bantamweight Jose Vargas can now boast a 3-0 C.V following a second round stoppage of Jose Perez, whilst 20 year-old super featherweight Luis Coria suffered a shock defeat to 14-loss Percy Peterson going down on the scorecard 38-37 across the board.
