The undercard for George Groves’ upcoming WBA super-middleweight title clash with compatriot Jamie Cox has now been completed.
Groves faces Cox, not only with his black belt on the line but in a fight which doubles up as a quarter-final bout in the World Boxing Super Series tournament.
The winner of the Wembley Arena clash this Saturday night will have the unenviable task of taking on Chris Eubank Jr., fresh from his devastating win over Avni Yildirim last week, in the semi-finals.
Featuring on top of the lower portion of the bill will be a super-middleweight reserve battle between John Ryder and Patrick Nielsen, whilst welterweight prospect Louis Adolphe participates in an eight-rounder with Nathan McIntosh.
Also scheduled to make appearances are Michael Devine, Daniel Keenan, Dean Richardson and Youssef Khoumari, whilst Chris Eubank’s formerly estranged son Nathanael Wilson takes on Jonny Phillips in search of a fifth professional win.
Chris Billam Smith, who recently signed with Barry McGuigan’s Cyclone Promotions, is another late addition to the London card – most of which is expected to be free-to-air on ITV Box Office.
