The undercard for George Groves’ upcoming WBA super-middleweight title clash with compatriot Jamie Cox still seems to be a work in progress with just six days to go.
Groves faces Cox, not only with his black belt on the line, but in a fight which doubles up as a quarter-final bout in the World Boxing Super Series tournament.
The winner of the Wembley Arena clash with have the unenviable task of taking on Chris Eubank Jr., fresh from his devastating win over Avni Yildirim on Saturday night, in the semi-finals.
Featuring on top of the lower portion of the bill will be a super-middleweight reserve battle between John Ryder and Patrick Nielsen, whilst welterweight prospect Louis Adolphe features in an eight-rounder with Nathan McIntosh.
Also scheduled to make appearances are Michael Devine, Daniel Keenan, Dean Richardson and Youssef Khoumari, but don’t be surprised to see a couple of late additions to the WBSS evening over the next 48 hours to beef up the card.
