Stephen Smith v Juli Giner for vacant Euro title on Bellew v Haye 2

Smith, who has failed in two bids to win the world crown over the last 18 months, is one victory into his comeback having defeated Karoly Gallovich in Germany last June.

Losses to Jose Pedraza and Jason Sosa set ‘Swifty’ back in the rankings, but the Liverpool man has the opportunity to put himself firmly in the frame at the top level again.

The 32 year-old is also aiming to become the second European champion in his family after brother Callum reigned at super-middleweight in 2016.

For Giner, 34, the Spaniard is looking to regain the belt on the back of a brief spell as blue title holder in 2015.

The contest is the first to be added to the newly-announced return between Tony Bellew and David Haye at the heavyweight limit, which goes down nine months after the first fight ended in a shock stoppage for the underdog.

Bellew took Haye out in the eleventh round as the former two-weight world champion struggled to deal with a serious achilles injury.

Haye has the chance for revenge and is a massive bookies favourite to do so just before the Christmas holidays.

More fights are expected to be added to the bill in the coming days and weeks.
