Bakole will make his Cyclone debut on ‘York Hall Brawl’ on the undercard of Andrew Selby’s WBC World flyweight title eliminator, Saturday October 7th at York Hall in Bethnal Green, London, live and exclusive on Spike, sponsored by Maxi-Nutrition, Ladbrokes and Voltarol.

Undefeated man-mountain Martin Bakole, 8 (6) – 0, is not your average heavyweight. Originally from Kananga in the DR Congo, the twenty-five year old Bakole is a man on a mission who has moved to the UK to pursue his goal of becoming heavyweight world champion.
“I’m very happy to have signed a long-term deal with Cyclone Promotions,” said Bakole. “I want to become world heavyweight champion and with the help of Cyclone and my manager Billy Nelson, I know I will achieve my dream and become a champion.”
Cyclone Promotions founder Barry McGuigan is very excited by the signing of Bakole. “In all my years of watching heavyweight boxing I haven’t ever come across someone as naturally gifted as Martin. He’s a tremendously talented young man who, with the correct guidance, can become a force in the heavyweight division. Billy Nelson is doing a great job with Martin and we are delighted to welcome Martin to the Cyclone team.”
Bakole’s trainer/manager Billy Nelson shares McGuigan’s high hopes for Bakole. “Martin Bakole is the most naturally talented boxer I’ve trained and will without a doubt become a major force in the heavyweight division. We are very happy to have teamed up with Cyclone and we can’t wait for the journey to begin on October 7th in London.”
Last time out on July 29th Bakole destroyed the usually durable London heavyweight Dominic Akinlade in just one-round. On October 7th at the York Hall he continues his development when he squares off against Poland’s teak-tough Kamil Sokolowski in a six-round contest. Bakole is then scheduled to appear on the undercard of Josh Taylor vs Miguel Vazquez on November 11th at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh.
