Betway go odds-on at 4/7 that Gennady Golovkin and Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez will rematch in 2018.

With Saturday’s hotly-anticipated showdown living up to expectations, the odds indicate the two best middleweights in the world are set to do battle in a blockbuster rematch.

The judging controversy has dominated the post-fight headlines, and with most observers having Triple GGG as the deserved winner in Vegas, it’s the Kazakh who is favourite to win the rematch at 4/5.

Betway are even-money for Saul Alvarez to inflict a first defeat on Golovkin, whilst another draw can be backed at 18/1.

Meanwhile, WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders will be eyeing a unification clash with Golovkin after retaining his belt with a unanimous points victory this weekend.

Saunders is 6/1 to face Triple GGG in his next bout, while the Brit is 3/1 to step into the ring with Amir Khan having called him out in a post-fight interview on Saturday night.

Betway’s Alan Alger, said: “The Canelo-Golovkin clash certainly lived up to its hype on Saturday night, and with a score still to be settled, we’re 4/7 the pair will treat boxing fans to a second super fight next year.

“The draw in Vegas was a bad result for WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders who has longed for a fight with the winner. He’s now 3/1 to fight Amir Khan in a domestic dust-up next, whilst a unification clash with Golovkin is not entirely out the question at 6/1.
