ITV4 have announced live coverage of Callum Smith (22-0, 17 KOs) v Erik Skoglund (26-0, 12 KOs) as the super middleweights clash in the forthcoming World Boxing Super Series tournament on September 16.
Smith and Skoglund will go head-to-head for a place in the semi-finals at the Echo Arena in Liverpool and there had been massive speculation about where WBSS TV rights would end up.
ITV have not confirmed whether they will be showing all of the WBSS bouts, although it is expected that the competition will be sold to networks as a package deal.
The format kicks off in the cruiserweight division with Oleksandr Usyk v Marco Huck on Saturday night, a fight which ITV are also expected to cover.
