Cork resident, Vladimir Belujsky will make a return to the ring on October 7th, as he goes out on The Red Corner Promotions show ‘Champions Elect’, in what could turn out to be a really tough fight for ‘The Slovak Rebel’.

Vladimir Belujsky who signed with Assassin Boxing nine months ago, having already gained great experience in the unpaid ranks, decided to turn pro having missed out narrowly on going to the 2016 Rio Olympics.

‘I feel I have a good pro style, and I have been mixing with the likes of ‘Spike’ (O’Sullivan), the McDonagh brothers, and even constantly being around Mike Perez in the gym. I am fully equipped to go far in this sport’.

Having missed a sizeable time through injury, Vladimir made his debut back in March of this year, as he was disappointed to draw with the very durable, Anthony Fox, who has mixed it with arguably some the best young super-middleweights in world boxing.

‘It’s been a tough time being out of the ring, but I have worked extremely hard in the gym, and I feel great, and I am just excited to kick on in my career’.

Despite being just 21, Belujsky wants to be fast tracked, and targets a Slovakian title in the next 6 months, and even wants to move to within Irish title contention within the next 18 months.

‘I want the big fights. I know how good I am, added to that my work ethic, I know how far I can go in the sport. I don’t want to waste anytime’.

The fight on October 7th is one for the Irish fans to get excited about seeing in The National Stadium. The opponent on the night is Manny Bique, who will be making his professional debut. Caribbean gold medal winner, Bique, has been a resident in Ireland for the last few years, as he brings great amateur pedigree and an exciting professional style to the country and to the super-middleweight division.

The super middleweight has garnered a reputation as a big hitter around Dublin gyms and claims he is ready to let the ‘beast out of the cage’ on October 7th.

Belujsky added, ‘It’s a tough opponent. He has a good reputation and a good amateur pedigree. I am delighted that I can be in a fight that will excite the fans. I have been in with tough opponents who have put up good fights with people like Lerrone Richard and Craig Cunningham who beat Anthony Ogogo’.

Founder of Assassin Boxing Promotions, Kaz Evans added;

‘Vladimir is one of the most dedicated boxers I have worked with. He is not in boxing for easy fights, and relishes 50/50 fights. Despite being young, he wants to be fast tracked, and with names such as Manny Bique, he will definitlely gain the respect’.
