Chris Eubank Jr. expected to agree German venue for Avni Yildirim quarter-final clash

Eubank Jr. is set to participate in the World Boxing Super Series quarter-final in a bid to become a three-belt world title holder and claim the coveted Muhammad Ali Trophy.

Despite fighting on home soil for all but one of his 26 contests, the IBO champion is ready to branch out his famous name and effectively give Yildirim home advantage.

Undefeated Yildirim was born in and represents Turkey but has fought the majority of his career on German soil.

Meanwhile, Eubank has begun a month-long camp at the Mayweather Gym in his bid to fend off the challenge of what many sees as a dangerous test for the Brighton man.

“I have trained with Floyd and the Money Team on and off for years now,” said Chris Eubank Jr.

“It is Floyd’s last ever training camp and I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to be a part of that. So I booked my flight and I’ll be at the Mayweather Boxing Gym until the beginning of September,” said the British IBO super middleweight champion.

“I will be ringside for the big fight against McGregor. I haven’t been this intrigued to watch a fight in years. Nobody really knows what’s going to happen and that’s what I think makes it so appealing.

“It was straight back to the gym after the Abraham fight. No rest for the wicked,” he added.

More information on the Eubank Jr. v Yildirim bout will follow, with ITV Box Office set to be challenged in their bid to land UK TV rights for the WBSS encounter.
