On Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, Argentine Jorge Sebastian Heiland and American Jermall Charlo clash in a World Boxing Council elimination bout in the middleweight division.
“It’s my New York debut and I’m ready to steal the show. Heiland came here to defeat me but I worked hard to win this match,” committedly commented Charlo.
“Charlo is a great fighter. I come prepared to win and to offer a great battle. I will use all my experience to be the winner of this eliminatory fight. We’re going to steal the show on Saturday,” said Heiland.
Charlo (25-0, 19 KO), 27, is the twin brother of current WBC superwelter champion Jermell Charlo.
Heiland (29-4-2, 16 KO) is a 30 year old southpaw from Argentina, with eight straight wins and ranked No. 1 in the middleweight division.
This bout will be televised by Showtime and will be part of the undercard of Adrien Broner VS. Mikey Garcia.
