Buglioni v Johnson / Burton v Yarde / McIntyre v Conroy all approved by BBBofC at 175lbs

Buglioni, who seems on the verge of fighting for another world title, is fresh from a victory over Ricky Summers as ‘The Wise Guy’ continues his good form.

Making the fight should be relatively easy as both are represented by Matchroom Boxing, although Buglioni has just under a month to decide whether to keep his Lonsdale Belt and defend against Johnson or move on with his career.

Should Buglioni decide to vacate, Johnson could then face either Hosea Burton, who is also trained by his own coach Joe Gallagher, or Frank Warren prospect Anthony Yarde.

Burton and Yarde have been given the same timescale to agree an eliminator to face Buglioni or Johnson but could be boosted forward if the Londoner vacates his belt and moves on.

Backing up both contests is a further eliminator between English champion Joel McIntyre and Liam Conroy, which has already been agreed for the new season.

The BBBofC announcements are as follows:

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT FRANK BUGLIONI (Holder) v CALLUM JOHNSON

The Stewards decided to put out the above contest to purse bids to be submitted in accordance with the Terms and Conditions attached to the Board’s Head Office by 12:00noon on Wednesday, 9″ August 2017, the contest to take place by the end of November 2017.

HOSEA BURTON v ANTHONY YARDE

The Stewards decided to put out the above final eliminator contest to purse bids to be submitted in accordance with the Terms and Conditions attached to the Board’s Head Office by 12:00noon on Wednesday, 9″ August 2017, the contest to take place by the end of November 2017.

JOEL MCINTYRE V LIAM CONROY

Following agreement being reached between the parties, the above eliminator contest to be promoted by Joshua Goodwin, will take place on Saturday, 9th September 2017 at York Hall, London. This contest is also for Joel McIntyre’s English Light Heavyweight Championship.
