The Irishman stated at the opening Los Angeles presser conference that he would stop forthcoming opponent Floyd Mayweather in the first four rounds of their August 26 meeting despite never having fought in a professional boxing ring.
Once the dust settled, bookmakers at BetStars informed WBN that 51% of bets since the media gathering have gone on Mayweather to lose within the first twelve minutes.
“Conor McGregor has promised Floyd Mayweather that he will knock him out in the first four rounds of their August 26th bout and BetStars punters are putting their money where the UFC star’s mouth is. “He is still the underdog for this fight as McGregor is currently priced at 5/1 to beat Mayweather, with the American being placed as the overwhelming favourite at 1/7.”
Mayweather v McGregor will be distributed by Showtime PPV in the United States at $99.95, whilst Sky and BoxNation/BT are set to battle it out to land the UK rights for next month.
